Black Museum Artifact Vault

Rolo Haynes's roadside museum of technological horrors, and the stories behind its exhibits.

"Black Museum" is the sixth and last episode of Black Mirror's fourth series, directed by Colm McCarthy and written by Charlie Brooker, with one segment adapted from a Penn Jillette story. It premiered on Netflix on 29 December 2017.

Lore & Background

Rolo Haynes (Douglas Hodge), owner of a remote Black Museum, tells a visitor, Nish (Letitia Wright), the backstories of its exhibits, which come from his earlier work in experimental technology; the episode is split into three such stories. It was filmed over a month in Spain and Nevada, touches on race and technology, and is packed with references to earlier episodes. Critics were mixed, with many finding the storytelling weak and the final twist divisive.
