The Slavutich concern began operations in Ukraine in 1996 when BBH purchased the JSC Slavutich Beer and Non-alcoholic Beverages company in Zaporizhia. In 1998, the Zaporizhia brewery launched Slavutich as its first local brand. A new brewery opened in Kyiv in 2004. The Lvivska Brewery in Lviv was acquired in 1998, and a cooperation contract with BBH was signed in 1999. In 2000, the Slavutich enterprise became the exclusive licensee for production of Pepsi, Mirinda, and 7Up. Tuborg production started in 2001, and the Holsten brand was launched in Ukraine in 2007. Carlsberg became the 100% owner of BBH Group Ukraine in 2008. The group's first non-beer product, 'Taras' brand kvass, was launched in 2008, followed by 'TopTea' brand iced tea in 2010.
