Gameplay

The player drives an automobile through labyrinth-like roadways as either Koji or Lisa, fighting off roaming thugs. The driving segments resemble F-Zero and Spy Hunter. Failing to reach a destination on time results in a game over, and a Final Fight-type sequence begins if the vehicle has taken enough damage. A versus mode is available from the main menu, featuring Koji, Lisa, and bosses Lei-Fan, Miki & Aki, Miyabi, Flare, and Ryoko.

Plot

Set in and around Neo Tokyo after a new Great Depression of 2010 and a catastrophic eruption of Mount Fuji in 2020, the city becomes infested with motorcycle gangs. The all-female Bishin gang, led by Ryoko, dominates. Koji, a 20-year-old former boxer, and Lisa, a 16-year-old ex-Bishin member, are attacked; one is kidnapped. The other sets out to rescue their partner using Koji's Cobra 429 car, traveling through a desert, forest, volcano, super-highway, construction area, bayside highway, and the streets of Neo-Tokyo.
