FC Augsburg is a football club from Augsburg, Bavaria, playing in the Bundesliga. Founded in 1907 as Alemannia Augsburg and known as BC Augsburg from 1921 to 1969, it is the largest club in Bavarian Swabia, with over 27,000 members.

Lore & Background
The club spent most of its history between the second and third divisions and dropped to the fourth tier in the early 2000s, before winning promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time in 2011. It finished a record fifth in 2014-15 and played in the Europa League in 2015-16.
