İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor (also called İstanbul BŞB or Istanbul BB) is a professional basketball team from Istanbul. It competes in the Turkish Basketball Second League, which is the third level of Turkish basketball. The club belongs to the larger İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi Spor Kulübü, and its home court is Cebeci Sport Hall.
The basketball branch was established in 2000 as part of the parent sports club. It started in the lower divisions of the Turkish league system that same year, using amateur players. The team turned professional in 2006 and played in the EBBL from 2006 until 2009. In 2009, it earned promotion to the TB2L. İstanbul BŞB remained in the TB2L through the 2013–14 season, when it finished seventh in the regular season. In the playoffs, it defeated Ankara DSİ S.K. 2–1 in the quarterfinals, then beat Aydem Pamukkale Üniversitesi in the semifinals to earn promotion to the TBL (now called the BSL). The 2014–15 season was the club’s first in the top division, where it placed twelfth.
