Pilot's License

Lore & Background

The acquisition of this license marks a turning point in the duo's journey against Gruntilda. No longer confined to the winding paths and treacherous cliffs on foot, they can now soar above obstacles that once seemed insurmountable. The plane becomes an extension of Kazooie herself, a symbol of freedom and agility. It allows them to scout distant lands, deliver packages to far-off friends, and engage in aerial combat with flying foes, proving that the true power of Spiral Mountain lies not just in strength, but in the ability to rise above challenges.

Reader's Guide

To obtain the Pilot's License ability, players must first locate and collect all Jigsaw pieces hidden within a specific level. These pieces are often tucked away in hard-to-reach spots requiring precise jumps or the use of previously acquired powers like the Rocket Nozzle or Grapple Glove. Once collected, return to the Jigsaw Room located in the central hub area. Interact with the puzzle table to assemble the pieces.

Upon completion, the game will reward you with the Pilot's License, instantly unlocking the ability to summon Kazooie's plane at any time by pressing a specific button combination. In gameplay, this ability allows Banjo and Kazooie to fly over large gaps, reach high platforms, and access secret areas hidden in the clouds. Strategically, it is essential for bypassing ground-based enemies that are too dangerous to engage on foot and for navigating levels with vertical complexity. It also enables the collection of Jiggies located exclusively in the sky.
