Reader's Guide

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is significant as a reboot of the Digimon Story series, developed with player feedback in mind. It features 249 unique Digimon, including seven DLC additions and two exclusive to the Western release. The game's success led to a sequel, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker's Memory, released in Japan in 2017 and in Western territories in 2018. A Complete Edition containing both games was released for Nintendo Switch and Windows on October 18, 2019. The game was delisted from the US PSN store on December 20, 2018, though it remained available in Europe and Southeast Asia until late January 2019. Its legacy includes introducing the series to a new generation of players on home consoles and establishing a narrative style blending digital world mythology with real-world detective work.
