Lore & Background
Doppo carries a scar on his face from when Yujiro attacked him ten years earlier. In their first encounter, Yujiro gouged out Doppo's right eye. In their proper underground arena fight, Yujiro killed him by stopping his heart, though he was later revived by Kureha Shinogi. He has fought Kiyosumi Katou in round one of the Maximum Tournament, Goki Shibukawa in round two, and lost a brutal match to Goki Shibukawa in round two. Following that loss, he closed his dojo to restart training. In the second manga series, he fought the escaped convict Dorian; Dorian cut off Doppo's hand using a wire hidden in his belt, but Doppo later avenged this by tracking Dorian down with Katsumi and Retsu. Shortly after, Dorian escaped the hospital and used a wire attack to injure part of Doppo's face. He also battled Mohammad Alai Jr. and stars in the spinoff manga Baki Gaiden: Kenjin.
