The Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) is a stadium located in the Sydney suburb of Moore Park. It is primarily used for Australian rules football and cricket as the home ground of the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL), the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League (BBL) and the New South Wales cricket team in the Sheffield Shield. It also frequently hosts the Australian national cricket team. The stadium is managed by Venues NSW.

Lore & Background
The site was first used as the Garrison Ground in the 1850s, but the Sydney Cricket Ground was officially opened as a cricket ground in 1878. In 1876, the New South Wales government dedicated the land for public recreation and sporting use. The ground received its modern name, the Sydney Cricket Ground, in 1894.
