The episode opens with Ruby and Amanda arriving at Brujo's property, where a Deadite-possessed skeleton attacks. Ruby fights it with a scythe, but the skeleton pulls Ruby into the pyre and they both burn. Amanda leaves in Ruby's car, discovering that Ash's severed hand (which was in a bag) has been taken by Ruby. At a road diner, Ash meets his old militia friend Lem to get weapons, but lacks money to pay for meals, so Pablo and Kelly leave for his trailer. There, the Necronomicon comes alive and takes interest in Pablo's medallion; Kelly reveals she wants to summon demons to avenge her parents.
