Originium
It causes the development of Oripathy in living organisms.[1] After Catastrophes, a material called Originium appears in the Arknights setting and serves broadly as an energy source.[1]
Traits
Originium appears as a black, semi-transparent crystalline mineral, though it has been seen in other colors like blue or gold.[2] It grows and metastasizes naturally in the wild, can assimilate with organic matter, and self-replicates to a certain extent.[2] Originium is not radioactive, but it is unstable: it vaporizes into gas over time, is highly flammable when liquid, and explosive under the right conditions.[2] The structure of Originium is like an onion, with a core that yields a yellow glow and layers called crystal shells.[2]

In nature, Originium comes in three forms: shards, ores, and solidified crystals.[3]
Origins
Originium is actually an artificial substance created by the Predecessors, specifically the Oracle and Priestess, as part of a strategy against the Observers.[4]
First Originium
The First Originium are three crystals that are the original source of all Originium deposits, hidden across Terra.[5]
Amnannam
The Amnannam is one of the three First Originium, known as the literal source of the Oripathy pandemic and Catastrophes on Terra.[6]
Wa Stone
The Wa Stone is one of the three First Originium, linked to the Jingyu Prime Vein located in Terra's eastern region.[7]
