Origin

Alyssa Bonagura was onstage by age three, belting out Lesley Gore's "It's My Party" on Nashville Now. At ten, she cut a duet with Kenny Rogers, and by sixteen she was opening for Marty Stuart on her first tour. She earned a degree from Paul McCartney's Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in 2009. Her 2016 solo album Road Less Travelled hit number 11 on the iTunes country chart, and her track "I Make My Own Sunshine" ended up in a Lowes commercial.

Ruby Stewart, the third of Rod Stewart's four daughters, spent her teens touring with her dad starting at age fifteen. At eighteen she began modeling for Laura Ashley, Vanity Fair, Italia Vogue, Glamour, and Elle. When she was thirteen, Columbia Records' Donnie Ienner signed her to a development deal, but her parents felt she wasn't ready. She later fronted the rock band Revoltaire, which put out one album, Painted Hour Glass.

Her cover of "Whatever Lola Wants" appeared in a Pepsi ad. Ruby and Alyssa teamed up in 2015 to form The Sisterhood Band, releasing their first EP that same year. They call their sound an organic blend of classic West Coast folk and timeless rock n' roll.

Career

The Sisterhood, an American duo, moved Rod Stewart to tears after performing his song "Gasoline Alley" for him. This led to work on a six-song EP in Nashville, which includes a cover of that track. The duo later opened for Stewart on his UK tour. They signed with Sony Music Nashville on June 17, 2017, and released the Summer Setlist EP on June 8, 2018. Their Grand Ole Opry debut came on August 20, 2017, where they shared the stage with Darius Rucker, Wynonna Judd, and Little Big Town.
