Plot

Expert driver Vert Wheeler, while driving in the Salt Flats, discovers a dimension called a Battle Zone and meets a Sentient named Sage. Together they form a racing team with weaponized vehicles to compete against the robotic Sark and the animal-like Vandals for Battle Keys that control the zones, determining Earth's fate. Battle Force 5 operates from Vert's garage at Handler's Corners on Earth. Storm Shocks—tornado-like portals—open access to Battle Zones in the Multiverse, each containing a Battle Key that grants access to the home world of whoever uses it. The team must secure the keys to prevent the Vandals from looting Earth or the Sark from taking it over. The Sentients created the Battle Zones; there are Blue and Red Sentients, whose homeworlds were rivals until the Vandals took over the blue homeworld. Over the course of the story, Battle Force 5 visits the Vandal, Sark, and Sentient homeworlds. At the end of the second season, the Sentient war ends, Krytus and his team are banished, and the Blue and Red Sentients reunite. Rawkus then warns that the Ancient Ones have awakened. In the film Total Revolution, Battle Force 5 faces the Ancient Ones, called Karmordials, who created the Sentients and were banished to the Primordiverse. With the Multiverse at peace, Vert, his team, and his father return to Earth.
