Comedian Dave Attell hosted this short-lived revival of the 1970s game show The Gong Show, originally created by Chuck Barris. It debuted on July 17, 2008, and was produced by Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions alongside Sony Pictures Television.

Show format
The show stuck to the original idea: amateurs, often with questionable skills, competed. Three celebrity judges could hit a big gong if they thought an act was terrible, ending that performer's turn. If no one gonged them, each judge gave a score from 0 to 500, making a possible total of 1,500. The winner got $600 and a Gong Show Championship Belt trophy. The last act of every episode, cut short by a siren and closing doors, was usually David Juskow. Prize Girls Heidi Van Horne and Amie Harwick presented the scores and prizes. Comedian Michelle Biloon did backstage interviews with contestants, mostly for the website, and clips ran during the credits. The celebrity judges included J.B. Smoove, Dave Navarro, Andy Dick, Steve Schirripa, Brian Posehn, Ron White, Jim Norton, Adam Carolla, Kate Walsh, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, and Greg Giraldo.
