Ben 10: Alien Force

Ben 10: Alien Force is an American animated series from Cartoon Network Studios, created by the writing group Man of Action (Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, and Steven T. Seagle). It follows the original Ben 10 series, jumping ahead five years and adopting a noticeably darker tone. The show first aired on Cartoon Network in the U.S. on April 18, 2008, and originally went by the working title Ben 10: Hero Generation. It lasted three seasons and forty-six episodes, ending on March 26, 2010. The series earned four Emmy nominations and won one for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation. A follow-up series, Ben 10: Ultimate Alien, debuted in 2010.

The story picks up half a decade after the events of the first show. Ben Tennyson, now a teenager, straps on the Prototype Omnitrix again to defend Earth and the wider universe from hostile aliens. The Omnitrix is a watch-like device that lets Ben turn into various alien forms, each with its own special abilities.

The main characters include Ben himself (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal), now 15 and acting as leader after his Grandpa Max vanishes. The Omnitrix has recalibrated, giving him access to a new, stronger set of alien forms. Over the years, Ben has grown up, becoming more mature, powerful, and wise. His cousin Gwen Tennyson (voiced by Ashley Johnson), also 15, has honed her natural magical talents. She can shape magical energy into ropes, bridges, projectiles, shields, and stepping stones. Unlike her earlier fiery self, she is now calmer and more caring toward Ben. Kevin Ethan Levin (voiced by Greg Cipes), once an enemy, now works as an alien tech dealer. He gets pulled into the Highbreed plot and joins Ben to make amends. His power lets him absorb the properties of any solid he touches, like rock or steel, boosting his strength and defense. Julie Yamamoto (voiced by Vyvan Pham) is Ben's girlfriend. She likes tennis, chili fries, and taking care of her pet Ship, an alien Galvanic Mechomorph she and Ben found. Grandpa Max Tennyson (voiced by Paul Eiding) is a semi-retired Plumber—an intergalactic cop—and Ben and Gwen's grandfather. He disappears while looking into the Highbreed, leaving only cryptic clues. He briefly reunites with them in "Max Out" but sacrifices himself to blow up a Highbreed factory, ending up in the Null Void. In "Voided," Ben finds him there, and Max promises to return.
