Format

To enter the competition, dance teams must first send introduction videos of their routines to BollyShake, the social media partner for Dance USA Dance. Teams that are chosen can then register and attend the audition nearest their home. The contest has two age groups: Junior for ages 6 to 12, and Senior for ages 13 and up. At each audition, a jury scores the performances and gives feedback, picking two teams to move on to the Semi-Finale. The jury can also select wild-card entries. The regional winners go on to the semi-finals, and in the grand finale, the remaining semi-finalists compete for the title of Season 2 champion. The final judging uses these criteria: routine (25%), synchronization (25%), choreography (20%), presentation (20%), and audience votes from the broadcast (10%).
