Early life and family

The Le brothers were born to parents who fled Vietnam after the Vietnam War and arrived in the United States in 1985, working as kitchenware sellers in Santa Ana. Andy and Brian grew up in the Little Saigon area of Westminster, Orange County, and graduated from La Quinta High School. Their father introduced them to Hong Kong martial arts films, inspiring them to take up martial arts; unable to afford formal classes, they taught themselves by watching YouTube videos and kung fu films. Brian studied Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest films frame-by-frame, citing Fist of Fury starring Donnie Yen as his greatest inspiration, and the brothers developed an eclectic fighting style from multiple international disciplines.

Career

The Le brothers formed the stunt team Martial Club with friend Daniel Mah, whom they met at a local gym in high school. Around 2012, they began posting videos to the team's YouTube channel, including recreations of fight scenes from films such as Fist of Fury (based on the 1972 film) and The Intercepting Fist (a tribute to the 2008 film Ip Man), along with training sessions and behind-the-scenes footage. The channel grew to millions of views and over 700,000 subscribers as of September 2021.

Brian first worked as a stunt double for the TV series Into the Badlands between 2017 and 2018, while Andy collaborated with Jackie Chan on a WildAid commercial in 2018. The brothers appeared together in the 2020 action comedy The Paper Tigers. Through the YouTube channel, Andy caught the attention of stunt coordinator Brad Allan in early 2019, leading to his hiring as a martial arts trainer for Simu Liu on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) and later an acting role as the supervillain Death Dealer.

The Martial Club channel also attracted the Daniels directing duo, who hired the Le brothers as stunt coordinators for Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), in which they played the Alpha Jumpers. Their choreography was nominated for Best Fight at the 2023 Taurus World Stunt Awards.
