Massacration
A Brazilian comedy troupe's parody of heavy metal bands.
Massacration is a fictional American heavy metal band created by Brazilian humorists and musicians as a parody of heavy metal subculture and stereotypes. The band was formed by members of the comedy troupe Hermes & Renato and is heavily influenced by the similar semi-fictional metal act Spinal Tap. Its music features humorous lyrics in a mix of intentionally broken English and Portuguese, sung in an exaggerated falsetto.

History
MTV Brasil and Hermes & Renato produced a 10-minute mockumentary in 2005 to promote the debut album Gates of Metal Fried Chicken of Death, showcasing the band's fictional backstory. The origins trace back to 1979 in the United States, when guitarist John "Blondie" Hammett, after his sixth arrest, shared a cell with quail smuggler and castrato singer David "Detonator" Sutter. Upon release, they befriended tambourine player Donald Polai and formed Death Mania, but the group dissolved after Polai's suicide. Depressed, Detonator and Hammett frequented the Italian restaurant Massas Crézio, where the owner, Crézio, gave them a room to live and rehearse. They recovered, placed an ad for band members, and filled the spots with Crézio's employees Jimmy "The Hammer" Lombardo, Klaus "Headmaster" Bissonette, and Rick "Metal Avenger" Banday. The band was initially named Massascrézio, later evolving to Massacrézio, Massacrétion, and finally Massacration.
