Warrior Nun is an American fantasy drama television series created by Simon Barry, based on the comic book character Warrior Nun Areala by Ben Dunn. Originally conceived as a feature film, the project was reimagined as a television series for Netflix, which ordered a first season of ten episodes. The series premiered on July 2, 2020, and follows a quadriplegic orphan who gains supernatural powers and joins an ancient order of warrior nuns. It was canceled after two seasons, but a revival trilogy of feature films was announced in August 2023, though its status remains uncertain as of April 2025.
