Foul-Ups, Bleeps & Blunders
A blooper show that couldn't say 'blooper'.
Foul-Ups, Bleeps & Blunders is a comedy series that aired on ABC for two short seasons in the mid-1980s. Hosted by Steve Lawrence and Don Rickles and produced by Bob Booker, the show focused on outtakes from popular television programs and movies, similar to NBC's TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes. It also included hidden-camera segments. The series debuted on January 10, 1984 as a mid-season replacement for Just Our Luck. ABC was nervous about Rickles' insult comedy and had the first episode reshot without him, but initial ratings were high due to curiosity about his content. After the network toned down his humor, viewership declined and the show was cancelled after two seasons.
