Synopsis
Caitlin "Cat" Sullivan, an NYPD detective in Brooklyn, loses her driving privileges and relies on Leo Romba, a French cab driver, as her driver and de facto consultant. While solving crimes with Leo, Cat conducts an unauthorized investigation into her father's death, believed to have been caused by the Capella crime family. She clashes with her boss, Captain Baker, and her ex-husband Gregg, who handles the case for the FBI.
Cast
Chyler Leigh plays Detective Caitlin Mary Darcy "Cat" Sullivan, a second-generation Irish-American detective with the fictional 125th Precinct. She gained notoriety for capturing the "Prospect Park Stalker" and, after losing her driving privileges, commandeers Leo Romba as her personal valet. She is divorced from FBI Special Agent Gregg James, attended Catholic school where she was a starting point guard, and is now a lapsed Catholic. Her childhood best friend was Annabella Capella, granddaughter of the Capella crime family head. She is uncomfortable with her mother's affair with the police captain; her late father was a dirty cop on the Capella payroll who murdered Annabella's grandfather and was killed in revenge. Jacky Ido plays Leo Romba, a Brooklyn cab driver from Marseille, France, who becomes Cat's driver and consultant. He spent four years in a French prison for being a getaway driver, testified against the robbers, and spent two years in solitary confinement, developing claustrophobia. He has a son, Nico, and an ex-wife, Aimee, and considers Frankie (Cat's mother) a close friend. In "Revenge", Aimee and Nico are kidnapped by Leo's former partner-in-crime, Henry. James Colby plays Captain John Baker, Cat's godfather who is having an affair with her mother. José Zúñiga plays Detective Eddie Esposito, Cat's co-worker and rival. Jennifer Esposito plays Dr. Monica Pena, a medical examiner and friend of Cat's. Bill Heck plays Special Agent Gregg James, Cat's ex-husband who is shot by a Capella family shooter in "Revenge". Ally Walker plays Frankie Sullivan, Cat's widowed mother and friend of Leo's. Raul Casso plays Ronnie, a fellow cab driver with a mock-flamboyant personality. Luke Roberts plays Rhys, and Caterina Murino plays Giada.
