Gargareans
All-male tribe that annually mated with Amazons for reproduction.
The Gargareans were an all-male tribe in Greek mythology who annually copulated with the Amazons to ensure reproduction. Female offspring were kept by the Amazons and raised as warriors, while males were given to the Gargareans. According to Strabo, the Gargareans originally lived in Themiscyra with the Amazons before a split led to war, which ended with a pact for companionship only regarding offspring, with each tribe living independently. Strabo placed the Gargareans on the northern foothills of the Caucasus.
