Tom McManus (American football)

Tom McManus, born Thomas Edward McManus on July 30, 1970, is a former American football linebacker who spent his entire NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played college football at Boston College under head coach Tom Coughlin, who later coached him again with the Jaguars. McManus started playing football in the fourth grade at St. Mary's in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, and later attended Wheeling High School in Wheeling, Illinois. During his senior year at Boston College, he earned third-team All-American honors and was twice named First-team All-Big East as a linebacker. He completed a bachelor's degree in marketing.

Despite signing as an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints in 1993, McManus never played for them and instead played his entire professional career for the Jaguars. He now lives in Jacksonville, Florida, with his wife Kristina—a former Jacksonville Jaguars Roar cheerleader—and their three children: Avery, Kelsey, and Harley. McManus hosts a sports and entertainment show called "Tom McManus Uncensored," which airs weekdays from 6 to 9 a.m. on Jacksonville's WFXJ (AM) and weekly on television station WCWJ. He also authored a book titled "We'll Always Be Pals," which explores his close relationship with his father, Gene McManus, who died of cancer at age 75 in 1995 despite a 50-year age difference between them.
