The English-language press, including NME, The Guardian, Rolling Stone and Pitchfork Media, have praised the duo. Their debut single 'Manners' was described by The Guardian as 'effortlessly cool'.
In 2012, they released the EP 'Iconic' in the US and the album 'Icona Pop' in Sweden. They performed at festivals like Summerburst and appeared on shows such as Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Good Morning America.
In 2013, they released 'Girlfriend' and 'All Night', and were nominated for two Teen Choice awards but did not win. They later opened for tours by Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and One Direction.
