The Ice King's crown in Adventure Time gives its wearer ice-based magic and immortality but causes his insanity. It was made millions of years before the series by an ice elemental named Evergreen to stop a comet from destroying all life.
Background
Simon Petrikov, a human antiquarian, bought it from a dock worker in northern Scandinavia before the Mushroom War; wearing it cost him his mind and his fiancée Betty. In the series finale GOLB's digestion returns the crown to its original wish-granting state, and Betty uses it to wish for the power to keep Simon safe.
