Gameplay and premise

The game is set one year after the events of the film, following the defeat of the Red Death. The Vikings celebrate with a festival called Thor'sday Thursday, which includes a dragon tournament where teenagers participate with their trained dragons. Players can take on the role of either Astrid or Hiccup. Before entering the tournament, they must train their dragon in the training grounds. The goal is to defeat all opponents, culminating in a victory over Snotlout Jorgenson to become dragon-taming champion. Players can create and customize their own dragons in the dragon den, where they also care for the creatures by feeding them food found around Berk. After dragon fights, players assist Gobber in gathering ingredients for dragon food in the Wild Zone. To access the Wild Zone, players must help a handyman Viking repair a bridge by borrowing tools from other Vikings. The Wild Zone also contains caves where players can complete mini games with their dragon. The game includes online features.
