No More Mr. Nice Guy
The pilot of Freddy's Nightmares: Krueger's trial, his release, and the parents of Elm Street.
"No More Mr. Nice Guy" is the pilot episode of Freddy's Nightmares (also known as A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Series), the horror anthology television series that aired in syndication from October 8, 1988 to March 12, 1990. Directed by Tobe Hooper, the episode depicts the events of Freddy Krueger's trial on child-murder charges and his death at the hands of the parents of Elm Street after his acquittal. Lieutenant Tim Blocker, played by Ian Patrick Williams, is the police officer who arrests Freddy after he stalks Blocker's teenage twin daughters, Merit and Lisa; after Freddy is released and threatens the girls, Tim joins the lynch mob.
The twins, played by Gry and Hili Park, return as the main characters of the later episode "Sister's Keeper". According to Robert Englund, part of an unused script of his for a third film was used in the pilot. The episode was one of the five released on VHS by Warner Home Video in September 1991.
