A Nightmare on Elm Street Codexery

The Dream Warriors

The Westin Hills patients who learned to fight Freddy inside their own dreams.

The Dream Warriors are the teenage patients of Westin Hills Psychiatric Hospital in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987): the last of the Elm Street kids, the surviving children of the parents who burned Freddy Krueger to death. Under the care of Dr. Neil Gordon, and with Nancy Thompson, the hospital's new intern therapist, they use group hypnosis to share a dream and discover their dream powers. Kristen Parker, who has been able to pull other people into her dreams since she was young, is the central member; the others are Phillip Anderson, a sleepwalker, Roland Kincaid, a tough kid from the streets, Jennifer Caulfield, a hopeful television actress, Will Stanton, who uses a wheelchair after a suicide attempt, Taryn White, a recovering drug addict, and Joey Crusel, the youngest, too traumatised to speak.

Freddy kills Phillip and Jennifer over two nights, captures Joey in the first shared dream, and kills Taryn and Will in the second while Kristen, Nancy and Kincaid rescue Joey. Members of the group return in the comic Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash: The Nightmare Warriors, and an unused early screenplay for Freddy's Dead would have brought them back as a 'dream police' to help Jacob Johnson.
