Plot

Jack's wife Bianca asks to finalize their divorce, and Jack agrees, demanding various settlement items to which she consents; the divorce is set for the next day. It is Valentine's Day, but the TGS cast and crew must work all night. Frank reveals he hates Jenna, always choosing to "kill" her in a game of "Marry, Boff, Kill" because he considers her phony. Jenna tries to redeem herself, citing her involvement in Vagina Day, a charity event for celebrities never asked to participate in The Vagina Monologues.

Eventually, she farts in front of Frank, who calls it the first real thing she has done, and they reconcile. Another round of the game leads writers to believe Cerie has feelings for Kenneth when she chooses to "boff" him. The writers send them to get candy; Cerie tells Kenneth she is not attracted to him but lets him claim they made out. Kenneth fails to convince the writers, showing them male underpants he says belong to Cerie.

Reception

The episode drew an average of 5.2 million viewers and a 2.5/6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Matt Webb Mitovich of TV Guide wrote that after the previous week's manic episode, this outing was "merely" very amusing at times, and he found more enjoyment in the writers' "Marry, Boff, Kill" B-story than in Jack's storyline. Robert Canning of IGN called the Valentine's Day episode a low-key half hour from a typically over-the-top show, calling it a pleasant surprise that proved the series could be funny regardless of tone; he rated it 8.5 out of 10.
