Draft
The Pelicans entered the 2020 NBA draft with the #13 pick after a tiebreaker with the Sacramento Kings, who won via March 11 records. New Orleans had been tied with the Kings for the best odds at the #12 pick when the season was suspended, but poor performances in the NBA Bubble prevented them from improving their selection. The team also held three second-round picks, two of which were acquired through a three-way trade involving the Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons.
