Recurring segments

One segment featured a title card and an announcer asking "Who's on the Blower?" when Carolla took calls from home viewers, sometimes to Carolla's impatience. When Carlos Mencia was the guest, the segment was retitled "¿Quién está en el Teléfono?"

Another segment involved Carolla walking in the woods with a man resembling Benjamin Franklin, acting as straight man while the "1780s guy" questioned modern phenomena such as metrosexuals (calling them "homosexuals") and Oprah Winfrey (calling her a "Nubian sorceress").

Carolla presented a game based on his theory that bizarre news stories occur either in Germany or Florida, challenging himself and a guest to guess which location a given story came from. Andy Milonakis played a special version called Super Germany or Florida? The bit originated as an idea for Jimmy Kimmel Live! but was vetoed by the writers, after which Carolla took it to Loveline, where callers would present strange news stories and Carolla and Dr. Drew would guess the location. The game also appeared during Carolla's guest host stint on The Late Late Show and subsequently on Too Late.

In early episodes, Carolla sometimes forgot to take phone calls, so producers invented a segment where he attempted to answer 10 calls in three minutes.

Carolla developed The Lightning Round on Loveline, where after the last commercial break he would take as many calls as possible as his alter ego Ace Rockolla, giving quick answers regardless of the question. It used sound effects of a thunder clap and a cow bell, along with Carolla repeating the time and temperature.

Another game involved Adam and guests predicting whether Ray Oldhafer, Carolla's childhood friend from The Adam Carolla Project, could break certain objects.

A buffer segment between commercial breaks featured a tape of a message left by listeners who were "drunk, high, pissed off, crazy and/or have a great accent." This segment appeared to have been picked up by The Adam Carolla Show on the radio.
