Invincible VS is a fighting video game based on the Amazon Prime Video animated series adaptation of the Image Comics series *Invincible*, with several actors from the show reprising their voice roles. It launched on April 30, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.

In gameplay, players control teams of three characters, switching between them during fights. An "active tag" lets players swap characters mid-combo to keep attacking, while a "counter tag" can be used to escape a combo during an active tag if timed correctly. The game includes a cinematic story mode, as well as arcade and training modes. It supports both local and online multiplayer, with rollback netcode for online play.

The base roster has 18 playable characters, with four more planned as downloadable content.

The story follows Invincible and his allies fighting Omni-Man and the Viltrumites on Earth. They notice their enemies acting strangely, and after a heavy blow, Invincible glimpses an enclosure. He injures himself until his surroundings vanish, revealing a high-tech facility. Attacked by Robot, Rex Splode, and new hero Ella Mental, he realizes they all have implants causing hallucinations. Invincible defeats them, overloading their implants and restoring them. The group explores the facility, finding others in suspended animation. The facility releases these implantees, and the heroes fight to restore them. Robot determines the facility is on an asteroid near Earth, but they cannot escape. Cecil accuses Ella of being an imposter, but Invincible notices he lacks an implant and attacks, damaging his holographic disguise to reveal a Technician. Other Technicians appear, explaining they abducted heroes and villains to harvest energy from their battles, planning to keep them contained as a power source. The Technicians force the captives into a holographic battlefield, using disguise technology to look like Viltrumites. The captives find the disguises impervious to damage until a tower is exposed that temporarily disrupts the Technicians' healing. Invincible flies through the tower, disrupting the hologram but not the disguises. Ella deduces the power source extends through the asteroid and uses her powers to tear it apart while the others occupy the Technicians.

Lore & Background

The story mode follows Invincible and his allies battling Omni-Man and the Viltrumites on Earth, but they suspect something is wrong when their foes act out of character. Invincible discovers a high-tech facility where he, Robot, Rex Splode, and new hero Ella Mental have implants causing hallucinations. After defeating them to overload their implants, the group explores the facility, finding others in suspended animation. They learn the facility is on an asteroid near Earth, operated by Technicians who abducted heroes and villains to harvest energy from their battles. The Technicians use holographic disguises and powers, but the captives destroy the power source, causing the disguises to fail. The Technicians teleport the heroes back to Earth, which they find has been taken over by the Technicians.
