Good Day! (TV program)
A local morning show that shaped national television.
Good Day! first aired on September 24, 1973, under the title Good Morning!, and later went by The Good Day Show and Good Day! Live before ending on October 11, 1991. Produced by Boston’s WCVB-TV, an ABC affiliate, it ran for 18 years in various slots between 9 and 11 a.m. The program eventually reached seventy-one U.S. markets through syndication. Its mix of news, talk, and lifestyle segments served as a model for ABC’s Good Morning America and influenced competing network shows. This program is unrelated to the current Good Day morning shows on Fox stations.
